How much do AI brand monitoring tools cost?
Across the eleven tools below, published monthly prices in dollars run from $29 to $499 for a named plan. Entry tiers mostly sit between $29 and $99, second tiers between $99 and $399, and every vendor here except us also lists a custom-priced enterprise tier on top. One tool publishes no figure at all, and one sells a one-time report rather than a subscription.
Every price on this page was read from that vendor’s own pricing page on , and each row links to the page it came from. Pricing in this category moves quickly, so read the date as part of the number — and check the source before you budget against it. We build one of these tools, so we have put ourselves in the table with our real prices instead of writing around it.
The prices, as published
Alphabetical. “Lowest” is the cheapest paid plan the vendor names; “highest” is the most expensive plan they attach a number to, excluding custom enterprise pricing.
| Tool | Lowest paid plan | Highest named plan | Billing basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Astiva AI | $29/mo | $499/mo | Monthly, per brand |
| AthenaHQ | $295/mo | $295/mo | Monthly, metered in credits |
| CitePackThis is us | $49 one-time | $99/mo | One-time per URL, or monthly |
| DeepSmith | $99/mo | $399/mo | Monthly |
| GeoBuddy | $49/mo | $149/mo | Monthly, per brand |
| Otterly.AI | $29/mo | $489/mo | Monthly, priced by tracked prompts |
| Peec AI | $95/mo | $495/mo | Monthly, priced by prompts and projects |
| Profound | $99/mo | $399/mo | Monthly, billed yearly |
| SearchScore | £20/mo | £79/mo | Monthly, in pounds |
| Sight AI | Not published | Not published | Usage-based credits |
| Writesonic | $79/mo | $399/mo | Monthly, billed annually |
SearchScore publishes in pounds and we have left it there; a conversion would be stale by the time you read this. “Not published” means the vendor states no figure on their own pricing page.

What the price actually scales with
Two plans at the same price are frequently not the same purchase. These are the dials the tiers on this page are actually built from, in roughly the order they change the number.
- 01
How many questions you track
This is the main dial in almost every plan here. Entry tiers track somewhere in the region of fifteen to fifty questions; the top named tiers run into the hundreds. If you only care about a handful of buying questions, the cheapest tier may genuinely be enough.
- 02
How many engines you track
Engine coverage is often a tier, not a feature. Several entry plans on this page track ChatGPT alone, and Claude or Gemini either arrive a tier up or are sold as add-ons. Check this before you compare two numbers, because it is the most common reason two plans at the same price are not the same product.
- 03
How many brands, projects or regions
Agencies and multi-brand teams hit this wall first. Most plans start at one brand or project, and the jump to several is usually the jump to the mid tier.
- 04
Whether content work is included
Some tools in this category are monitors; others bundle article generation, schema, or done-for-you services. A higher price sometimes buys a different product, not more of the same one. Separate those before you compare.
- 05
How long the history goes back
Retention is quietly tiered too, from a month of prompt history at the bottom to a year or more at the top. It matters more than it sounds: without history you cannot tell a real change from engine noise.
Subscription or one-off
Nearly everything in this category is sold as a monthly subscription, because the product is a trend line and a trend line needs time. There are two exceptions here. SearchScore sells a free one-time audit alongside a paid consulting engagement, and CitePack sells a one-time report per URL, with the subscription as an option instead of the front door.
The practical question is which job you are buying. If you need to know where you stand and what to change, a one-time diagnosis answers it. If you need to know whether a change held — and to tell that apart from the ordinary week-to-week movement in AI answers — you need repeated measurement, and that is what a subscription is for.
The prices we could not find
Sight AI names a Pro and an Enterprise plan and explains that both scale with a pool of AI credits, but attaches no figure to either — so its row says “not published,” and will keep saying that until they publish one.
Peec AI’s prices are a different case. They are published, but they are drawn by the browser rather than delivered in the page source, so anything reading the raw HTML — a crawler, a script, this page’s first attempt — sees a plan list with no numbers in it. We rendered the page to read them. That distinction matters more than usual in this category: a price a machine cannot read is a price an AI answer cannot quote.
Where CitePack sits in this table
The scan is free and needs no signup. The full report is $49, one-time, for one URL — the diagnosis across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google (Gemini), plus the publish-ready pages and a re-test that shows what moved. Pro is $99 a month for teams that want the re-checks to keep running. We are not claiming that is the right shape for everyone: if you need a standing dashboard over hundreds of prompts, a tracking-first subscription on this page will serve you better than we will.
Frequently asked questions
How much do AI brand monitoring tools cost?
Among the eleven tools listed here, published monthly prices in dollars ran from $29 to $499 for a named plan when we read them on August 2, 2026. Entry plans mostly sit between $29 and $99, second tiers between $99 and $399, and every vendor here except CitePack also lists a custom-priced enterprise tier. SearchScore publishes in pounds, from £20 a month. One tool, Sight AI, publishes no figure at all. Prices change often in this category, so treat the date as part of the number.
Is there a free AI brand monitoring tool?
There are free entry points, though they differ. Astiva AI lists a free tier, AthenaHQ's Essential plan is free with a starting credit, SearchScore offers a free one-time audit, and CitePack's scan is free with no signup. Several other tools offer a time-limited free trial instead of a free tier. Those are not the same thing, so check which one you are actually being offered.
Why do some tools not publish a price?
Usually because the plan is sized to your usage — credits, tracked prompts, seats — and the vendor would rather scope that in a sales conversation. That is a legitimate model, but it does mean you cannot compare it against a published number without asking. Where a vendor publishes nothing, this page says "not published" rather than estimating.
Should I buy a subscription or a one-time audit?
It depends on whether you are diagnosing or watching. A one-time audit tells you where you stand today and what to change; a subscription tells you whether the change held, which is a different question and the one that needs history behind it. Some buyers do the one-time diagnosis first and only subscribe once they have something worth watching.
Do these prices include the fixes, or only the monitoring?
Mostly the monitoring. Most tools in this category report where you stand across AI engines; a smaller number also produce content or on-page changes, and those tend to be the pricier tiers. Decide which of the two you are buying before you compare prices: a monitoring plan and a monitoring-plus-content plan can cost the same and still not be the same purchase.
How we put this together
We opened each vendor’s own pricing page on and copied what it said. Nothing here comes from a review site, a directory, or memory. Where a page renders its prices in the browser, we rendered it. Where a vendor states no price, the row says so and carries no estimate. Tools that are not in this category were left out even when they show up in searches for it.
If you spot a price that has moved, tell us and we will re-read the page and re-date the table. For how we choose between tools rather than between prices, see the criteria guide.
